Privacy and Data Protection Statement


Your Chief Psychologist is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of people who attend Attention Maps™ Foundations.


Information we may collect 


In connection with the course, we may collect information including:

  • your      name and contact details; 
  • information      required to administer your booking and attendance; 
  • responses      to pre-course and post-course questionnaires; 
  • feedback      about your experience of the course; and 
  • information      you choose to provide about accessibility requirements or reasonable      adjustments. 

You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or medical condition in order to request a reasonable adjustment.


How we use your information

Personal information may be used to:

  • administer      your booking and communicate with you about the course; 
  • provide      appropriate reasonable adjustments and support your participation; 
  • provide      confirmation of attendance and a certificate of attendance; 
  • evaluate      and improve Attention Maps™ Foundations; and 
  • maintain      appropriate administrative and quality-assurance records. 

Evaluation information may also be analysed in an anonymised or aggregated form to understand the effectiveness of the course and inform its continuing development.


Marketing and future offers


We would like to keep participants informed about future Attention Maps™ courses, coaching, events, resources and other relevant services offered by Your Chief Psychologist.

Where you have agreed to receive marketing communications, we may use your contact details to send you information about relevant future offers and opportunities.

Receiving marketing communications is optional and is not a condition of attending Attention Maps™ Foundations. You can change your mind or opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe option included in our marketing communications or by contacting us directly.

Choosing not to receive marketing communications will not affect your participation in the course or any services you have already purchased.

We will not sell your contact details to third parties for marketing purposes.

Where marketing consent is collected as part of registration, participants will be given a separate choice, for example:

Accessibility and reasonable-adjustment information


Information provided about accessibility requirements or reasonable adjustments will only be used where necessary to support your participation in the course.

Where possible, this information will be handled separately from anonymised course-evaluation data and will only be available to people who need it for the purpose of arranging or providing appropriate support.


Confidentiality and sharing


Personal information will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties unless this is necessary for the administration or delivery of the course, you have given permission, or we are required to do so by law or professional obligations.

We will not sell participant personal information or contact details to third parties.


Course discussions


Attention Maps™ Foundations includes discussion and reflective activities. Participants should only share personal information that they are comfortable discussing within the learning environment.

Participants are also asked to respect the privacy of other participants and not to share personal information or experiences disclosed by others during the course outside the session.


Recording


Attention Maps™ Foundations will not normally be recorded.

Participants should not make audio, video, photographic or screen recordings of the course, course materials or other participants without prior permission.


Retention and security


Personal information will be stored securely and retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet relevant legal, financial, professional or quality-assurance requirements.

Where information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymised as appropriate.


Your rights


Under UK data protection law, you have rights in relation to your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these may include the right to:

  • access      the personal information we hold about you; 
  • request      correction of inaccurate information; 
  • request      deletion of your information; 
  • request      restriction of processing; 
  • object      to certain uses of your information; and 
  • withdraw      consent where consent is the basis on which information is being      processed.
